OUR STORY

A Growing
Global Footprint

Founded in 2015 in Boston, what started as a single local event quickly grew into something bigger: a global platform for youth empowerment and cultural exchange.Since then, the Let It Fly Classic has been hosted in: Boston, Puerto Rico, Johannesburg, Cape Town, London,Kigali

With new locations and continued expansion planned for 2026. Across every city and community, our mission remains the same: celebrate talent, uplift communities, and create lasting opportunities through basketball, culture, and connection.

Impact Beyond the Game

Each Let It Fly event leaves behind more than memories. Through four key initiatives, we create impact that continues long after the final buzzer.

Court Refresh

We rebuild and revitalize basketball courts, transforming them into safe, vibrant spaces where youth can play, connect, and grow for years to come.

Scholarships

We award scholarships to local students—not just athletes—who demonstrate leadership, academic dedication, and commitment to their communities.

Community Enrichment

WHY BASKETBALL

“Basketball is a game that creates safe spaces, unites neighborhoods, and reflects a culture youth embrace. At a time when young people feel disconnected, basketball offers a genuine way to build community.

Let It Fly is built on this power—connecting people, celebrating culture, and creating pathways for the next generation.”
